Luciana & Andrea’s Intimate South London Wedding at The Old Timberstore
Luciana and Andrea’s wedding was a quiet triumph of intimacy and urban charm, set against the textured backdrop of South London. Their ceremony took place at The Old Timberstore in Bermondsey, a hidden gem with exposed beams, warm brickwork, and just enough grit to feel timeless.
It was a Saturday, so Maltby Street Market buzzed just beyond the venue’s doors. Though the couple didn’t linger, the energy of the market added a vibrant hum to the morning. After the ceremony, we slipped away for portraits, walking down to Tower Bridge and along the Thames Path. The old wharf building, weathered brick, iron railings, and soft river light, offered a cinematic canvas for couple shots. For any London wedding photographer, it’s a dream mix of heritage and intimacy.
Florals by @jemimainthewoods brought softness to the industrial setting: loose, seasonal arrangements in blush and ivory, with trailing greenery that echoed the couple’s relaxed elegance.
The reception unfolded just around the corner at The Kernel Brewery, where guests toasted the newlyweds with craft beers and casual warmth. In place of a traditional wedding cake, Luciana and Andrea served three Basque cheesecakes their favourite dessert, rich, caramelised, and unapologetically indulgent. It was a personal touch that perfectly matched the spirit of the day: unfussy, heartfelt, and full of flavour.
Whether you're planning a Bermondsey wedding or searching for a documentary-style London wedding photographer, Luciana and Andrea’s celebration is proof that small weddings can be rich in atmosphere and full of heart.
