Meet the Photographer
I'm Polly, the photographer behind Candid Hour London. I’m based in Hackney and photograph weddings throughout London and the UK. My work blends natural storytelling with a gentle editorial touch to create photographs that feel relaxed, honest and full of emotion.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, although I actually started out in front of the camera. I spent over a decade working as a fashion and beauty model, which taught me how important it is to feel supported, guided and genuinely seen. That experience shapes the way I photograph today.
Whether you're getting married at Old Marylebone Town Hall, Old Chelsea Town Hall, Islington Town Hall or somewhere tucked away in Hackney’s creative corners, my aim is always the same. I want you to feel comfortable from the very first moment.
My Approach
I believe wedding photography should feel effortless and personal. My style is calm and unobtrusive. I look for natural moments, little details and the kind of quiet interactions that often say the most.
Before your wedding, I take time to understand your plans and what matters to you. On the day, I move gently in the background and step in only when you need a little guidance. Nothing is rushed or forced. Your wedding is unique, so your photographs should reflect that.
My Style
I work with a mix of timeless black and white and soft, natural colour. Every gallery is edited with care and a light touch so the photographs still feel like you. My focus is on simplicity and emotion. I want your images to feel just as beautiful ten years from now as they do the moment you receive them.
